Chapter Service & Philanthropy
Theta Mu strongly believes in supporting our signature philanthropy, CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocates) and our community.
Our Signature Philanthropy
Kappa Alpha Theta's national philanthropy is the Court Appointed Special Advocates (see page "CASA"). The Theta Mu chapter does this through fundraising and providing gifts to the children within CASA. As a chapter, we have done bake sales, colored and hand-made goody-bags full of essentials and toys (such as toothbrushes/paste and bouncy balls), made tie-blankets, and helped to spread awareness.
This year, Theta Mu had our first annual signature philanthropy, Coffee House for CASA Children. We hosted a talent show and provided coffee, tea, hot chocolate, baked goods, and a great time. Raising a significant amount of money to help support CASA, we were overjoyed with the successful outcome of our event.
Colorado, home to our wonderful school, provides us with speechlessly beautiful sights, fun nights, a loving community, and overwhelming support. So, in return, we are proud to give back to the world and community around us through our time and efforts. Theta Mu sisters complete a minimum of six hours a semester of community service to give back to our state--participating in tutoring at other schools, the Helluva Service Event at Mines, supporting CASA and much more.
